Type the givens of your puzzle, or paste them as 81 digits. Solve fills the whole grid; Hint gives you one cell and lets you go on alone.

How it works
The solver tries the cell with the fewest possible numbers first and backs up when it runs into a dead end. A puzzle from a newspaper or an app is solved in a few milliseconds.
It also tells you when something is wrong: two equal numbers that see each other, a grid with no solution, or one with more than one. A proper sudoku has exactly one.
Hint fills the cell you picked, or the easiest open cell when none is picked, so you can get unstuck without seeing the rest.
Questions
- Can it solve every sudoku?
- Every classic 9×9 sudoku with a solution, the hardest ones too. If the givens break the rules, it shows where.
- What if my puzzle has more than one solution?
- The solver says so and shows one. A puzzle with fewer than 17 givens always has more than one.
- How do I enter a puzzle quickly?
- Paste it as 81 digits in row order, with 0 or a dot for each empty cell. On a keyboard you can also type numbers and move with the arrow keys.
- Can I get a hint instead of the whole solution?
- Yes. Pick a cell and tap Hint, or tap Hint with no cell picked and it fills the easiest one.
